After my father passed away 20 years ago, my mother wanted to make a will. I bought an “off the shelf” write your own will document for her. We discussed her wishes and I helped fill in the form. It was written, signed and witnessed according to the rules. My mother has recently passed away. I remember the wishes expressed in the will but I can’t remember who the executors are. ( I think it is all three children) Can we open it or should we appoint a solicitor to open it in our presence?
